BLACK & WHITE HAIGA/HAISHA

 

   Dear friends,  And throughout this month, haiga enthusiasts have sent in some excellent works, from which I have selected a few that I feel are representative of this art form.  They are listed in alphabetical order.   I hope that the last month of this year will be just as inspiring. I look forward to seeing your work with great interest. Don't forget that, in a composition that includes both image and text, less is more. The haiku is the star and it must have breathing space in the image.  Do not overlap it with other elements. Sophisticated fonts do not help the haiku, on the contrary. The message and emotion conveyed are essential.
